Charleston Killer Captured

Dylann Roof - The 21-year-old white man suspected of shooting dead nine people at a black church in the southeastern US city of Charleston has been captured, media reports said Thursday.

Dylann Roof was taken into custody in North Carolina, according to CNN and two local television stations.

  What We Know

  • A gunman identified by city and federal law enforcement officials as Dylann Storm Roof, 21, opened fire at the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church, one of the nation’s oldest black churches, on Wednesday evening, killing nine.
  • Police arrested the suspect in Shelby, N.C., a town east of Charlotte and just north of the South Carolina state line, after a 14-hour manhunt.
  • The Rev. Clementa Pinckney, the church’s pastor and a state senator, was killed,according to the minority leader of the State House of Representatives.
  • The police said the other victims in theCharleston church shooting were six women and two men.
  • The Charleston police chief, Greg Mullen, called the attack a hate crime.

EU Community Celebrates Founder, Chief Michael Ade-Ojo At 77

It was a celebration of an achiever and benefactor as staff and students of Elizade University, Ilara-Mokin, Ondo State trooped out to honour the Founder of the University, Chief Michael Ade.Ojo on the occasion of his 77th birthday.

In an occasion that had in attendance dignitaries from all walks of life, staff and students of the University used unique ways to show appreciation to a man who has put in place a university that has been widely adjudged as a centre of excellence in architectural design and lay-out.

In his honor, a communion service was held, football, Basketball and Tennis competitions were organized by the Institution’s Sports Unit to bring members of the university community and host community together to celebrate Chief Ade.Ojo who has brought development to the town by establishing the University and an eighteen-hole international Golf Resort.

Blood found dripping through Oklahoma apartment wall

A blood-like red liquid was dripping down the walls of a family's home in the Fairfax Apartment Complex in Midwest City, Oklahoma.
 "I got a sponge, and I wiped it," Kennedy the owner of the apartment said. "Soon as I wiped it, it started coming down again." The owner of the a called the police, who recognized the walls were dripping blood. They went upstairs and discovered the corpse of a neighbor who had reportedly fallen and cracked his head.

Samsung proposes an Android phone that transforms into a Windows laptop By Jacob Kastrenakes

Samsung has been thinking up new ways to transform smartphones into laptops. In a patent application filed last week, first spotted by Patently Mobile, Samsung describes a mobile device that runs Android and is able to switch over to Windows when inserted into a dock. Individually, these ideas aren't new — dual-OS devices and docking smartphones have been tried a number of times over the past several years — but they haven't been put together in a particularly straightforward way. Of course, this is only a patent application, so there's no guarantee that Samsung will actually make it.

Even so, Samsung actually goes into quite a bit of detail on how such a device would work. The core would be a smartphone or a tablet, which would hold everything needed to run both Android and Windows. The dock would have a keyboard, a large display, and possibly a trackpad.

I just want to use this medium to wish my mum a Happy Birthday. She is my Happiness and  my Joy, she's always there to comfort  me, always there to wish me a better future.
 I also want to thank her for all the support and encouragement she has given me through out all this years of my life, without You mummy I wouldn't be half what I am today. Woman Narrates Nasty Ordeal How Boko Haram Dealt With Them While Kept Hostage

One of the rescued women from Sambisa forest, 36 year old Meriam has narrated how Boko Haram members prepared little girls for suicide bombing. In an interview with New York Times, Meriam said while she was being held hostage by the sect members, she saw how little girls were brainwashed into thinking that they will be forgiven after they carry out the bomb attacks


"The Boko Haram would recite the prayer for the dead. Then they would put on the hijab, covering the suicide belt. After they had prepared, “They said, ‘God will forgive us. Then,

they would enter the vehicles, and they would send the women away.”she said. She also said during the interview that she had seen some of the Chibok girls captured in April last year at a hospital in Gwoza.
