Steve Carruthers (r.) found his way to the VIP section for the Mayweather Pacquiao fight, and got photos with many of the celebs, inlcuding the boxers themselves. Pictured here with Mayweather.

A brazen smooth operator got back stage at the Mayweather fight by pretending to be part of Leonardo DiCaprio's entourage — and the boxer came to his rescue when he got caught.

Fearless Steve Carruthers, 24, donned a suit and waited outside the MGM Grand Garden Arena until he spotted the A-list actor and joined his team.

Inside the VIP bar he mingled with the stars, before following them all to the ring side where he got selfies with Christian Bale, Donald Trump, Michael Keaton and Paris Hilton.

"Leonardo DiCaprio said he didn't do photos, but he was really nice and polite and gave me a handshake," Carruthers said. "Mark Wahlberg was really friendly. He did a shout out to my friend to my phone."

And then after the fight, Carruthers stepped past security guards by joining journalists to wait outside Floyd Mayweather's and Manny Pacquiao's dressing rooms.

"I took a selfie with Donald trump with both of us pulling silly faces, and Manny was really nice considering he had just lost the biggest fight of his career," said the Englishman.

After snapping a photo with the Filipino he got caught by the MGM security team when he asked Mayweather for an autograph.

But the boxer stuck up for the business graduate and told the security guard "I've got him," before inviting shocked Steve to his press conference and then posing for photos.

Lucky Steve, who is on a six-week trip to the U.S.A., said the feat "was quite hard ... If I was in jeans and trainers I don't think it would have worked. Everyone was suited and booted so I just blended in."

Steve already had a $3,000 ticket in block 208 to watch the fight, but donned a suit in the hope of finagling a $983,000 ring side view.

He waited outside the 16,800-capacity venue in Las Vegas and piggy-backed on the back of Leonardo DiCaprio's security team.

"I was outside and I saw Leo DiCaprio — he had a cap on and his sunglasses and head down so that nobody recognized him, but I did and followed him in."

After sharing the bar with the star, he followed him ring side to meet Chris Brown, Michael J. Fox, poker player Dan Bilzerian and singer Macklemore.

"He went towards the ring side so I just followed him in there and that was where I met loads of people and took a selfie with Mark Wahlberg. He was really nice."

He also met the Jonas Brothers, boxer Shane Mosley, Robbie Keane and golfer Lee Westwood.

He had to take his designated seat up away from the ringside due to a lack of spare spots, but after the 12th round went back down.

"There was about four other people there already with their accreditation badges around their necks — so I just walked through and evaded security," he said. "I just waited outside their dressing rooms and just avoided eye contact with anyone."Once again he finagled his way past security and towards the boxers' dressing rooms, where he met both fighters.

After Pacquiao came out, Carruthers snapped a photo with the defeated boxer. And because no one around was asking questions, Carruthers stuck around and waited for the victorious mayweather to come out as well.

"He was really cool and had a huge entourage," Carruthers said of Mayweather. "I asked him for a photograph and also an autograph and I was walking with him. He said it was OK to walk along with him, but he had to go do an interview right then."

After security at MGM tried to stop him for not having accreditation, Mayweather vouched for Carruthers, inviting him to come watch the press conference.

Steve, who has now flown to L.A. for three weeks, added: "After the interview (Mayweather) was like 'Let's go do the photos outside.' I got one and I was going to leave it, but he got security to take quite a few photos. He was really, really nice".
